- The high red hardness of cobalt steel permits speeds 30% greater than high speed steel (HSS) drill bits

 

- The spur point on the Type 186 is designed to cut through the weld on one panel while leaving the second panel free of holes

 

- The double end points on this drill bit allow you to simply flip your bit over and keep working when one side gets dull. This will cut down time looking for a new bit.

 

- Cobalt steel is substantially more abrasion resistant, resulting in  long wear cutting edges.
